Description: Travel to thecountry for 4 to 5 days at a time to be mutually agreed, for engaging with the stake holders in the country. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ABOVE DATES ARE NOT FINAL DATES.
Under the trust fund arrangement established following the voluntary contribution of the Government of Japan for Industrial Property for Africa and least Developed Countries for the period April 2013 to March 2014, it was agreed that a project for integrating IP into national innovation policy formulation be undertaken in Cameroon Ghana and Rwanda.
The objective of these projects is to understand the efforts that have gone into innovation policy making in the country, the impact of those efforts on the ground, identify gaps and needs, if any, from an IP perspective, and make recommendations on integrating the IP actors and the IP system into the innovation system.
The implementation of the project would therefore involve a mission by an international expert and WIPO official to each country for discussions with the stake holders.
