In the letter of October 19, 2016 (copy attached) Mr. Alexey Sergeev, Secretary General, Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS), invited WIPO to participate in the 45th Plenary Session of the IPA CIS, to be held in St. Petersburg, on November 25, 2016.
WIPO confirmed the participation of its representative in the 45th Plenary Session of the IPA CIS in the letter dated November 1, 2016 (copy attached) from the Director General to Mr. Alexey Sergeev.
At the same time, the Meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education will take place on November 24 and 25, 2016, and Mr. Denis Zhuk, Head, International Department, CIS IPA, requested the WIPO representative to contribute also to the above mentioned Meeting.
In this regard, it is suggested that Mr. Evgeniy Sesitsky, Program Officer, Section for Caucasian, Central Asian and Eastern European Countries, Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC), undertake a mission to St. Petersburg on November 24
and 25, 2016, in order to:
- participate in the Meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education in St. Petersburg and present WIPO’s activities on the support of innovation development and education/training in the field of IP in the CIS countries, on November 24, 2016;
- attend 45th Plenary Session of the IPA CIS on November 25, 2016. |
