In her letter of September 2, 2016, Ms. Kateryna Oliinyk, Senior Associate and Head of Intellectual Property Practice, Arzinger Law Office (Kyiv), requested the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to support the organization of the International Conference on Creating and Exploiting Intellectual Property Equity, to be held in Kyiv, on November 10 and 11, 2016.
The Conference, which will host the audience of around 80 participants from academia, business community, IP practitioners and government officials, would be a good opportunity to promote the WIPO Project of the Development of IP Policies for Universities and Research Institutions. Promotion in the framework of the Conference of the elaboration/development of IP policies providing clear rules and guidelines for the effective IP management at universities and research institutions would be also relevant in the context of encouraging cooperation between science and industry/business in Ukraine.
WIPO, in cooperation with the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine, the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Arzinger Law Office, organize a section on the Development of IP Policies for Universities and Research Institutions;
(ii) Mr. Evgeniy Sesitsky undertake a mission to Kyiv on November 10 and 11, 2016, in order to attend the event, participate in the ceremonies of official opening and closing of the Conference, promote the elaboration/development of institutional IP policies, make a presentation on the Recent WIPO Activities. Support and WIPO Model for the Development of IP Policies by Universities and Research Institutions and facilitate the discussions in the framework of the above mentioned section. |
