Following consultations held with the delegation of São Tomé and Principe in the margins of the Fifty-Seventh Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a request for practical training on procedures under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) has been received from Mr. Aderito Bonfim, Executive Director, Industrial Property National Service of São Tomé and Principe (SENAPI) (see attached). The training will be conducted for the members of staff at SENAPI and will be in Portuguese. The dates have been chosen in consultation with Mr. Aderito Bonfim.
It is proposed that Mr. Roberto Perez Gomes, Examiner, Technical Cooperation Section, PCT International Cooperation Division represent WIPO in the seminar.
Accordingly, the following is proposed:
1. Title: WIPO Training on the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
2. Date and Venue: December 4 and 5, 2017 – São Tomé and Principe
3. Organizers: WIPO in cooperation with SENAPI
4. WIPO Official: Mr. Roberto Perez Gomes, Examiner, Technical Cooperation Section, PCT International Cooperation Division, Patents and Technology Sector
5. Host party’s contributions: Administrative and Logistic Support Staff
6. WIPO’s contribution: WIPO will pay, under Program 0015/P1063, for ticket, DSA and TE for the WIPO speaker.
The cost estimate and accompanying letter are attached. The program will follow. |
