Reference is made to the National Capacity Building Workshop on the Use of Technical and Scientific Information, which took place in Dakar, Senegal, from September 12 to 14, 2018, (copy attached).
In the context of the above and following consultations with Mr. Makhtar Dia, Director General of the Senegalese Agency of Industrial Property and Technological Innovation (ASPIT), it is proposed for your kind consideration the organization of the launch of the project in Dakar, from September 23 to 25, 2019. The meeting will also discuss roadmaps for the implementation of the project.
The meeting is expected to discuss and finalize identification of national experts for the establishment of the national expert group on appropriate technology, the establishment of a national multi stakeholders group and the nomination of national and international project consultants.
A proposal is made for the participation of the following international expert at the national meeting, Professor Barthélemy Nyasse from Cameroun. One national expert will be invited by WIPO to participate at the national meeting and will make presentations.
The above mentioned meeting and mission will be financed from the Budget of the Division for Least Developed Countries. The cost estimate is attached. |
