The WSIS Forum 2019 will take place in Geneva, from April 8 to 12 2019, under the theme " Information and Communication Technologies for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals" . Similar to previous years, it is proposed the WIPO organize a thematic Workshop during this event, on Monday April 8, 2019.
The workshop will explore the role of IPRs to sustain the development of the sport industry and it is proposed to fund the participation of Dr. Oira Hezekiel (Kenya) and an Europe based speaker (tdb). Dr. Hezekiel will be attending the SCCR the prior week. Therefore, it is proposed to only pay additional DSAs Geneva (3 days) to Dr. Oira and honoraria for both speakers.
It is also proposed that WIPO sponsor a coffee break for this session as it has done in the past. (Please see memo attached) |
