Title: WIPO Seminar on Current Issues in Intellectual Property Rights; Study Visit of TAU, ONO, PSU; KSLA, KNU at WIPO HQ
Description: Reference is made to the WIPO Seminars organized jointly with Israeli universities and universities in countries in transition. Following the requests from Dr. Shlomit Yanisky - Ravid, Director, Comparative Legal Research Center, Ono Academic College (ONO), Israel, and Professor Michael Birnhack, Director, S. Horowitz Institute for Intellectual Property (IP), Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law, Israel (copies enclosed), as well as discussions with Ms. Irina Dmitrenko, Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs, Kyrgyz State Law Academy (KSLA), Kyrgyz Republic, it is propoed to organize a joint Israel-Kyrgyzstan Seminar, in Geneva from December 18 to 20, 2018.
The Seminar will be organized in the form of a Study visit of a group of underprivileged and multi-confessional students to WIPO to learn about the work of the organization in the protection of intellectual property rights (IPRs) and to discuss recent developments and emerging issues which are being dealt with at the global scale.
Reference is made to the approved Memo of August 10, 2018 on the WIPO Seminar on Current Issues in Intellectual Property Rights from December 18 to 20, 2018 with the participation of the Tel Aviv University (TAU), Ono Academic College (ONO) Israel and the Kyrgyz State Law Academy (KSLA).

The event is traditionally organized by TDC jointly with Israeli universities and universities of countries in transition.
Considering that we have received additional requests from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) and the Polotsk State University of Belarus (PSU) it is proposed to include the students of those universities in the above event.
