Following the completion of the face-to-face continuing education program in Lebanon which saw the planning and execution of a train-the-trainers session organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in partnership with the Ministry of Justice of Lebanon, in Beirut from July 2 to 4, 2018, it is suggested that a follow-up face-to-face continuing education program, exclusively dedicated to practical training exercises and the discussion of a selection of court cases, would be organized in Lebanon on November 9 and 10, 2018.
The National Project Consultant informed that certain Lebanese universities, and in particular the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the American University of Beirut (AUB), wish to learn more about the activities of the WIPO Academy and to explore the possible areas of assistance and cooperation. It is suggested that, in consultation with the Permanent Mission of Lebanon in Geneva, meetings with officials of these universities would be arranged on November 7 and 8, 2018. |
