SRI LANKA:
• Provide IPAS support in clearing backlogs, upgrade to a newer version;
• Upgrade WIPO Publish being used as internal search system to a newer version;
• Review IPAS configuration and workflow of Trademarks, Patents, and Industrial Design registries;
• Provide information on using and participating in WIPO Global Database;
• Provide information on WIPO developed IP Office systems for online services.
• Provide information on IPAS support for Madrid system;
• Discuss and establish WIPO, NIPO work plan covering implementation activities for NIPO
- to move toward becoming a Paperless Office
- to make use of IPAS for processing of Madrid designated trademarks;
- to provide online services to its stakeholders;
• Present, discuss and gather feedbacks on WIPO’s Operational Support being provided to national IP offices using WIPO IP Office systems
• Meeting with ICTA on necessary NIPO IT infrastructure improvement to support new IT systems
INDIA:
- Visit and discuss with off-shore (IPAS/WIPO Publish/CASE and DAS) operational support teams in Noida (new Delhi) and Mumbai on their work, related issues and potential improvement.; and
- Discuss with the Trigyn team working on WIPO academy courses on the possibility of staging IPAS on-line course at Trigyn for internal review/evaluation |
