At its sixth session (October 15 to 19, 2018, Geneva, Salle A, WIPO Headquarters), the Committee on WIPO Standards (CWS) will continue its work to develop and revise WIPO Standards. The Committee will update related matters in the field of IP information and documentation. These include a new project to develop a WIPO standard for Blockchain, a new standard on Web API, a new standard on industrial design legal status data, revisions of standards for sequence listing standard (ST.26) and patent legal status data (ST.27). The CWS will also discuss recommendations from the meeting on ICT Strategy and AI held in May 2018, the development of a new WIPO software tool for sequence listings (ST.26) and new survey questionnaires on applicant name standard, electronic industrial design representation, SPCs and public access to patent information. |
