Description: |
Development Agenda Project DA_4_10_01 aims to assist local communities in designing and implementing IP and branding strategies by focusing on the use of intellectual property (IP), particularly geographical indications, trademarks and distinctive signs, as a practical tool for business development.
Launched in Thailand in September 2010 with the selection of three products (brocade silk from Lampoon, cotton products from Mae Cham and wicker products from Bang Chao Cha), the project has seen a number of interesting developments, including the development of a collective mark for Bang Chao Cha’s wickerwork and a working partnership with the King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) for the development of a new line of product designs.
