Hold consultation meetings and discuss with relevant silk producers and silk promotion associations as well as national authorities concerned to assess and identify required training/capacity building, GI collective management and control/certification systems, sound management of GI associations, collective marketing/communication strategies, standards of potential markets, consideration for strengthening as a tourist destination based on GI, etc.
Develop, fine-tune and validate the nature, scope and deliverables of a dedicated project based on the outcomes of point no. 1 above; and,
(3) Engage and hold consultation meetings with two designated national experts on GI collective management with a view to eventually develop a pool of local expertise and create benefits for development of new GIs and their collective management in future including GI training. |
