Using training of the trainers approach, training of these two designated national experts is meant to develop and nurture a pool of GI expertise at the national level. It is expected that they will, in turn, not only train new GI experts from Lao PDR but also serve in the development of future GI products from the country. More importantly, the two experts will be used as national GI consultants for the proposed Project on “Houaphanh silk” and “Luang Prabang silk” under the LDC Graduation Package for Lao PDR. Building and strengthening their knowledge and capacity on GI under the proposed activity would be very useful for the implementation of the aforementioned Project. |
