Preparatory work from WIPO has entailed expert missions to assist the local draftsmen, dispatch of questionnaires for a preliminary assessment of the prevailing situation, in the case of Liberia, The agreement was that at the final stage of the process, WIPO would facilitate a team of legal experts to WIPO for a final review with the WIPO legal experts.
WIPO is also providing technical assistance to the Government of the Seychelles in the course of the implementation of Seychelles National Intellectual Property Development Plan (IPDP) plans of action. In 2012, a comprehensive package of assistance resulted in the drafting of an IP Policy and Industrial Property law amending texts.
