The objectives, driven by Strategic Goal VI, are:
- to consider the impact of IP protection & enforcement to the social and economic development of the participating countries;
- to examine minimum standards & flexibilities contained in Part III of the TRIPS Agreement;
- to review topical issues, including consumer awareness-raising as a preventative measure & the equitable disposal of infringing goods; and
- to highlight the importance of national & regional strategies for effective cooperation including public/private partnership. |
