Description: |
Since 2010, WIPO has been working closely with the Ministry of Commerce of Liberia in the review of IP laws in addressing one of the recommendations of the NIPDP regarding the urgent need to review the rather outdated legislative framework; this led to the dispatch of model laws for both copyright and industrial property in 2010, followed by consultations and dispatch of WIPO experts on copyright law development in 2011, and recently the planning of a final Working Session for Liberian draftspersons to engage in technical discussions with WIPO IP Legal Experts in Geneva, initially planned to take place in May then postponed to October and then November for reasons beyond WIPO’s control. |
