Title: WIPO-Sida Training and Advisory Programs on Intellectual Property Rights in the Global Economy for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
Description: The objective of the Program is to increase the number and quality of intellectual property senior officials from LDCs, through a comprehensive training with a view to use IP for economic growth and development. The Program promotes familiarity with the legislation, enforcement, administration and management aspects of intellectual property, from a national, regional and an international perspective. Emphasis will be given to the role of intellectual property in national economic development such as the importance of patent information for technological capacity building, design protection, the contribution of collective management society for wealth creation and the impact of piracy and counterfeiting of protected works.
