Gridlogics becomes a contributing partner of ASPI
June 2, 2015
Gridlogics (provider of the PatSeer patent database system) has joined the Access to Specialized Patent Information (ASPI) program as a contributing partner. ASPI enables intellectual property offices and academic and research institutions in developing countries to obtain access to commercial patent database systems, with a range of powerful search and analysis features, for free or at very low cost. Six contributing partners now are members of ASPI and offer access to their flagship patent database products through the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Manish Sinha, Chief Technology Officer of Gridlogics said, “We are pleased to partner with WIPO and offer our global patent database PatSeer to government bodies and research institutions in developing economies via the ASPI program. Being competitive in today’s age requires one to have quick access to critical scientific and research data. Patent databases increasingly capture the largest percentage of worldwide innovation and by leveraging the ASPI program researchers in these countries can benefit from having free or low-cost access to this critical information.
PatSeer makes patent searching, filtering though search results and analyzing patent data easy with its powerful and intuitive user-interface. We are confident that institutions in participating countries will benefit from access to PatSeer and hope that the knowledge and productivity gains lead to an increase in quality and quantity of research being done by them.”
