Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Communication by the Government of the Russian Federation Regarding Changes in the Schedule of Fees Charged by the Russian National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (VKPM)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on April 11, 2007, of the communication of the Government of the Russian Federation (the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks), dated March 16, 2007, regarding changes in the schedule of fees charged by the Russian National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (VKPM), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 63 of July 28, 1987).

According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the fees for storage and for communication of information or issuance of an attestation referred to in the said communication shall take effect on May 30, 2007, that is, on the thirtieth day following the publication of the changes by the International Bureau.

COMMUNICATION

The Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks has the honor to refer to the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure.

In accordance with Rule 12.2 of the Regulations under the Treaty, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks hereby notifies the World Intellectual Property Organization (in the Annex enclosed) of certain changes that have occurred in the amount of fees charged by the Russian National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (VKPM).
