Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
Accession by the People's Republic of Bulgaria
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the People's Republic of Bulgaria, on February 21, 1984, of its instrument of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), done at Washington on June 19, 1970.
The said instrument contains the following declaration: "The People's Republic of Bulgaria does not consider itself bound by the provision of Article 59 of the Patent Cooperation Treaty, according to which any dispute between two or more Contracting States not settled by negotiations, may be brought before the International Court of Justice."
The said Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the People's Republic of Bulgaria, three months after the date on which the said instrument of accession was deposited, that is, on May 21, 1984.
