Call for papers: WIPO to Host First IPGAP Global Research Experts Meeting on Improving Gender and Diversity in IP and Innovation (25-26 November)

WIPO is pleased to announce the first Global Research Experts Meeting on Improving Gender and Diversity in Intellectual Property (IP) and Innovation, scheduled for 25-26 November 2024 in Geneva at WIPO headquarters.
An initiative under the WIPO IP and Gender Action Plan (IPGAP), the meeting will bring together external economists, researchers, experts, and thought leaders to advance the discourse on a global scale and explore new data collection methodologies and findings that can inform and influence policymaking to support women’s economic opportunities through participation in innovation, creativity, and IP. The experts meeting aims to foster collaboration among economists and researchers globally, promote gender-focused work in IP, innovation, and creation at national and regional levels, explore effective strategies for overcoming policy challenges, and build an international network of experts committed to gender and diversity in IP.
Call for Papers: WIPO invites submissions of papers proposing new methods for collecting and analysing gender-related innovation data, identifying new indicators to measure women's participation in IP-intensive sectors, and exploring effective analytical strategies to overcome challenges faced by policymakers.
