Register for the WIPO-JIPA Workshop: Exploring the Future of Innovation-driven Growth and the Role of Intellectual Property

Two novel innovation waves are heading our way, according to the Global Innovation Index 2022; a Digital Age Wave and a Deep Science Wave.

This workshop - organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA), and with participation of the Japanese Cabinet Office - considers the role of intellectual property (IP) in these future innovation waves with leading Japanese IP practitioners and experts.

On Monday, June 5, 2023, Japanese industry leaders from Canon, Chugai Pharmaceutical, Mitsubishi Chemical, Panasonic, Sony Intellectual Property Services, Toshiba and Toyota will be discussing:

  • What is the role of IP in unleashing the Digital Age and the Deep Science wave: “business as usual” or something novel?
  • Which challenges are companies facing in the digital era?
  • Can the next innovation waves contribute to the future of innovation-related growth and be a solution to global challenges?

Opening remarks will be made by:
