Hague System – Withdrawal of Declaration under Article 13(1) of the 1999 Geneva Act: Japan
January 28, 2021
Japan has notified WIPO of the withdrawal of its declaration (under Article 13(1) of the 1999 Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement) that only one independent and distinct design may be included in an application.
Note: This withdrawal has no practical implications for Hague System customers as the Japan Patent Office already allows multiple designs in an international design registration.
