The new Madrid Monitor search tool integrates in one application functionalities and information currently accessible through ROMARIN, the WIPO Gazette of International Marks, Madrid E-Alert and Real-Time Status.

What’s New?

Madrid Monitor’s intuitive search interface allows you to access all information available in the register regarding marks you are interested in. For the simple keyword search, you may use, for example, an International Registration Number (IRN), a holder or mark name, or the powerful image search function first introduced by the Global Brand Database. The easy to use Advanced Search allows you to customize and combine a wide array of fields and filters to make it easier to find what you are looking for. You may also obtain the Real-Time Status of an application through Madrid Monitor, and register to obtain E-Alerts whenever any changes are made in relation to an IRN.

WIPO’s Global Brand Database continues to be your primary pre-filing resource to explore WIPO collections and other international sources to determine whether a mark identical or similar to yours already exists for the same or related goods and/or services. After filing, Madrid Monitor is your gateway to the register, allowing you to stay apprised of all activity and developments relating to your mark.

Tell Us What You Think

We invite you to test the Beta version of Madrid Monitor, which is currently made available in parallel with ROMARIN, the WIPO Gazette of International Marks, Madrid E-Alert and Real-Time Status. Your feedback will help us tailor this tool to address customer needs before it is rolled out as the go-to search tool for all Madrid System related inquiries.

The deployment of Madrid Monitor is the first step of E-Madrid, a broader Madrid Registry initiative focused on the delivery of an enhanced online experience for our customers throughout the lifecycle of their mark. Over coming months, the Madrid Registry will introduce new and improved E-Services that will work in concert to allow customers to find information and manage their portfolios faster and more effectively.
