Our latest success story is online, featuring RAYCAN Technology, a Chinese small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) that has successfully protected its international trademark portfolio through the Madrid System.

Established in 2009, Suzhou-based RAYCAN specializes in the research and development of cutting-edge imaging equipment used in the medical and security world, for radiation detection, and more. The company’s innovative technology has enabled development of:

• the world's first all-digital radiation detection solution, installed in hundreds of hospitals in China;
• security screening technology capable of identifying different substances such as toxic materials and narcotics;
• all-digital PET/CT (computed tomography) scanning solutions for animals, installed in scientific and research institutions from Chicago in the United States of America to Turku in Finland;
• and more.

To date, the company has filed 21 international trademark applications through the Madrid System.
