Launch of the first Moubadar>art Bootcamp

July 23, 2024

From July 13 to 15, 2024, the Algerian Higher School of Business (ESAA) in Algiers hosted its first training session as part of the Moubadar>art program. This initiative is the fruit of cooperation between the Algerian Ministry of Culture and the Arts, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Algerian National Copyright and Related Rights Office (ONDA) and ESAA, and is designed to support and promote creative industries in Algeria, while raising awareness on the importance of intellectual property (IP).

A promising bootcamp

The intensive three-day bootcamp marked the official launch of the Moubadar>art initiative. The event was geared towards young entrepreneurs who are aspiring stakeholders in the cultural and creative industries and brought together selected participants from across the country. Those new talents received tailored coaching to develop their business models and protect their IP assets.

Training goals and focus

The first bootcamp comprised three days of intensive training focused on specific themes, each led by leading IP and business experts in their respective fields, with two main goals:
1. Help project leaders develop their business models.
2. Protect and respect IP.

Building ongoing, personalized support

There is much more to the Moubadar>art program than the three days of intensive training. It spans a three-month incubation period, providing ongoing personalized support to participants through interactive workshops and online training sessions. The initiative is part of a broader vision to boost the creative industries sector in Algeria.

A unique opportunity

The Moubadar>art program offers a unique opportunity for Algerian creative entrepreneurs to hone their skills, protect their innovations and contribute to the growth of the cultural and creative industry in Algeria.
The success of the first training session illustrates the determination and commitment of the various partners to support young entrepreneurs in their pursuit of innovation and creativity, while ensuring effective protection for their creations.

Moubadar>art is part of the WIPO IP management clinic program.
