WIPO services and products in China

PCT system for patents

China joined the PCT in 1993 and has been the third largest user of the System since 2013. Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd was the largest PCT applicant in 2014.

Madrid System for trademarks

China joined the Madrid System in 1989. It has been the most designated Madrid member since 2012 and became the seventh office of origin in 2014.

The WIPO Academy Summer School program provides an opportunity for senior students and young professionals to acquire deeper knowledge of each domain of IP and of the role and functions of WIPO.

WIPO GREEN

Through this online marketplace, we help connect Chinese seekers and providers of new environmental solutions with other seekers and providers of cutting-edge green technology and services around the world.

WIPO Re:Search

Chinese partners have already established collaborations with African universities through this consortium, which promotes the development of new drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics in the fight against neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and tuberculosis.
