Ms. Deng analyzed the current development status, challenges, and opportunities of the global and Chinese cultural and creative industries. She elaborated on the measures taken by WIPO to address the challenges posed by new technologies to intellectual property. She introduced the various services provided by WIPO for the development of the cultural and creative industries, which include the "Five Golden Keys": policy forums, registration systems, databases, cooperation platforms, and capacity-building programs. In the face of the two major waves of innovation in the digital era and deep science, WIPO, as a global policy forum for intellectual property, actively promotes the negotiation and conclusion of new copyright treaties related to traditional knowledge, traditional cultural expression, and broadcasting organizations. WIPO has established multiple communication platforms to focus on the impact of digital technology on music, film, broadcasting, and publishing, ensuring that the international copyright system adapts to the new changes in the digital environment. Additionally, since 2019, WIPO has been hosting the "WIPO Conversation on IP and Frontier Technologies" and launched the "IP Diagnostic Tool" in 2021 to address the challenges of copyright protection posed by new technologies.
