WIPO China: WIPO Presents Awards for Best Invention, Best Woman Invention, and Best Youth Invention in China

On May 24, at the closing ceremony of the 27th National Inventions Exhibition held in Shijiazhuang, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) awarded the Best Invention, Best Woman Invention, and Best Youth Invention awards to Dr. Zhang Lieyu from the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, Professor Gong Qin from Tsinghua University, and Li Bolang, a student from Nanxian County No. 1 High School in Hunan province, respectively. Their inventions were titled "Key Technologies and Applications of AI-based Watershed Pollution Regulation," "Tinnitus Diagnosis and Treatment Evaluation Platform Integrating Precision Detection and Personalized Intelligent Music Therapy," and "AI-based Fermented Tofu Production Device."

The three-day exhibition attracted more than 700 enterprises and research institutions from over 60 cities nationwide, showcasing 1,587 inventions. Through online and on-site evaluations, 290 projects received gold awards from over 1,500 participating projects. From these gold award projects, the jury selected the three special WIPO awards.

Deputy Commissioner Li Danlu of China National Intellectual Property Administration and Mayor Ma Yujun of Shijiazhuang attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Bai Guangqing, Senior Counsellor of WIPO Office in China, presented the awards to the winners at the closing ceremony.
