Japan is home to over 25 UN agency offices, which is evidence of Japan's expected role in the international community. However, Japan's presence in the UN and other international organizations is not yet sufficient, and there is a need for more Japanese people to actively participate in these organizations. For young people interested in a career as an international civil servant, internships at UN agencies are often the first step to learning about the UN and the various challenges it addresses.

In this panel discussion, interns working at the Japan offices of WIPO, UNU, UNDP, UNHCR, and UNOPS will gather to discuss why they applied for their internships, their daily work, and their future career prospects. The latter half of the event will be dedicated to a Q&A session, where participants can ask the speakers questions using the Zoom Webinar Q&A feature. Please note that due to time constraints, we may not be able to answer all questions.

This event will be conducted entirely in Japanese, with no interpretation into English. Additionally, there will be no archive distribution after the event, so we encourage you to participate in real-time. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required. If you wish to attend, please register via the registration button above.
