WIPO Nigeria Office formally welcomes new Director-General of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion

On Thursday, July 25, 2024, the WIPO Nigeria Office (WNO) welcomed the newly appointed Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), Dr. Obiageli Amadiobi, and members of her senior management team on an official courtesy visit. On hand to receive the DG was Mr. Oluwatobiloba Moody, Director, WIPO Nigeria Office, as well as officials, Ms. Olaronke Famuyiwa and Ms. Taiwo Farai.

In her opening remarks, the Director-General cited NOTAP’s long-standing relationship with WIPO, stating afresh the commitment of the organization to continue to collaborate to propel the development of technology and commercialization of IP in the country.  

The Director, WIPO Nigeria Office, Mr. Moody equally reiterated WIPO’s commitment to working closely with NOTAP as well as collaborating on emerging opportunities which leverage IP to drive development, amongst others.

The visit ended on a high note, with both WIPO and NOTAP renewing their shared commitment to collectively working together to achieve the goal of innovation supported IP for the good of Nigerians.
