WIPO Regional Webinar for CACCEC in Russian: PCT System:  International Search and International Preliminary Examination

During the webinar we will tell you about:

• the purposes of the international search and international preliminary examination,
• the selection of the competent International Search and Preliminary Examination Authority,
• the time limits for search and examination, as well as the requirement of unity of invention and the consequences of lack of unity of invention at the stages of international search and international preliminary examination.

The criteria for patentability of inventions, the list of subject matter not subject to search and examination, and the possibility of communicating with International Authorities during the search and examination stage of the international phase will also be discussed.

In addition, supplementary international search, its objectives, timing and possibilities will be described.

Representatives of International Search and Preliminary Examination Authorities which are competent for applicants from CACEEC countries will speak about the practice of search and examination at the international phase before these Authorities.

The webinar is aimed at Russian-speaking applicants, patent attorneys, IP officers, inventors and IP specialists.

The webinar will be held in Russian. During the webinar, you will have an opportunity to ask a specialist from Geneva all the questions you might have.
