What’s New in WIPO’s Internship Program?

In our continuing effort to make WIPO’s Internship Program more accessible to applicants globally, we have made several new improvements as of January 2020.
Reimbursement of travel expenses
WIPO reimburses travel expenses (roundtrip) up to 1,500 Swiss francs for interns who are nationals of developing countries and LDCs, and who are residing in their home country at the time of recruitment.
Increase of monthly stipend
We have increased the monthly stipend for Category 1 interns assigned to WIPO Headquarters in Geneva to 1,570 Swiss francs (previously 500 Swiss francs);
Local transport allowance
Interns now receive a transport allowance in the amount of 70 Swiss francs per month to cover local commuting expenses. This brings the total monthly stipend to 2,070 Swiss francs for Category II interns and 1,570 Swiss francs for Category I interns.
