on Distance Contracts and other Matters of the Law relating to Consumers
as well as on the Conversion of Provisions to Euro
of 27 June 2000
The Federai Parliament [Bundestag] has adopted the following Law:

Article 4
Amendment to the Act Against Unfair Competìtion
The Act Against Unfair Competition in the published revised version in the Federai Law Gazette, Part 1.11·, Category Number 43-1J as last amended by Article 14 of the Act of 22 June 1998 (FederalLaw Gazette ,I p.. 1474), shall be amended as follows:
1. Section 13 subsection 2 number 3 shall be worded as follows:
"3. by qualified entities that prove that they have been entered on the list cf qualified entities pursuant to section 22a cf the Aci Regulating the Law on the Generai Terms and Conditions of Business, or on the list of the European Communiìies pursuant -to Article 4 cf the Directive 98/27/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19· May 1998 on injunctions far the protection of consumers' interests (Official Journal of the European Communities No. L 166 p. 51). In the case of Section 1 these institutions may only bring an action for an injunction so far as the action concerns an act affecting vital interests of consumers,".
2. In Section 13a subsection 3, first sentence, the words "pursuant to section 3 subsections 1, 3 and 4 as well as section 5 subsection 3, first sentence, of the Act on Revocation of Ooor-to-door Sales and Similar Transactions" shall be replaced by the words "pursuant to section 361 a subsection 2, first, third, fourth and sixth sentences of the Civil Code and section 5 subsection 4 of the Act on Revocation of Ooor-to-door Sales and Similar Transactions".

Article 12
Entry into Force
Article 2 para. 1 no. 15, Article 5 no. 10 (b) aswell as Article 7 paras. 3, 6,10 no.1, para. 11 no. 2 and paras. 15 and 16 shall enter into force on 1 January 2002. Article 6 paras. 1 and 2

shall enter into farce on 1 October 2000. Ali other parts of this Law shall enter into force on 30 June 2000~
The constitutional rights of the Federai Council [Bundesrat] have been heeded.
The above Law is hereby executed and will be promulgated in the Federai Law Gazette.
