The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on March 9, 2018, of its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications (Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement), adopted at Geneva on May 20, 2015.
The said instrument contained the following declaration:
- in accordance with Article 7(4) of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement, the Kingdom of Cambodia wants to receive an individual fee to cover its cost of substantive examination of each international registration.
The date of entry into force of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications will be notified when the required number of ratifications or accessions is reached in accordance with Article 29 of the said Treaty.
