The Secretary-General of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) presents his compliments and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on April 25, 2023, of the following declaration:
- the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hereby extends the application of United Kingdom's ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, adopted at Paris on December 2, 1961, revised at Geneva on November 10, 1972, on October 23, 1978 and on March 19, 1991 (the 1991 Act) (see UPOV Notification No. 68), to the Crown Dependency of the territory of the Isle of Man, for whose international relations the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is responsible.
At the request of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the said declaration shall enter into force, with respect to the Crown Dependency of the territory of the Isle of Man, on April 25, 2023.
