We, Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,

By virtue of Article 31 of the Constitution

And based on the resolution of the Cabinet on 05 August 2013

Order the enactment of the following Regulation:

Regulation number 73 of 2013

Tobacco Products Display Regulation

Issued by virtue of Clause E of Article 55 of Public Health Law number 47 of 2008

Article 1:- This Regulation shall be called “Tobacco Products Display Regulation of 2013” and it shall be in force sixty days after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 2:- The following terms shall, wherever they appear herein, have the meanings assigned thereto hereinafter, unless the otherwise indicated:

Display units: The board designated for displaying tobacco products.

Sales outlets: Places licensed by the concerned authorities to sell tobacco products.

Article 3:- Tobacco products may not be displayed in sales outlets, except on display units.

Article 4:- The person in charge of sales outlets shall:

A. Announce the price of tobacco products displayed for sale beside each product or in a price list that contains names and prices thereof to be placed on the display unit.

B. Not add any writings or images on the display units. C. Not add any logos or trademarks on the display units. D. Not display any fake packages that look like tobacco products on the display units.

Article 5:- Any one who acts in violation of this Regulation shall be punished with the sanctions stipulated in the Public Health Law or any other Law replacing it.

Article 6:- The Minister of Health shall issue such instructions as necessary for the enforcement of the provisions of this Regulation, including the maximum number of display units allowed in sales outlets and the requirements thereof.
