Schedule

 

 

 

 

Title

1.      These regulations shall be titled Design Regulations (International Convention), 1935

 

Interpretation

2.      In these regulations –

“Convention Application” means – Application for registration of design which was submitted pursuant to section 52 of the Ordinance;

“ Foreign Application” means – Application for registration of design which was submitted in a foreign country which is a member state.

 

Convention Application

3.      A foreign application shall be submitted in a design form (convention) which is provided in the Schedule

 

Drawings to be furnished along with application

4.      Other than drawings or samples which are provided with the convention application, a person shall submit to the Office of the Registrar within three months of the date of submitting an application, a copy of the drawing or sample of the design which the applicant had provided or registered in the Patent Office of the foreign state, as related to the first application, where the copy thereto was certified properly by the official head of the patent office of the same foreign state as said, or certified in any other form which the Registrar finds to be satisfactory. Any other certificate or document which is related to the application are written in a foreign language, shall be furnished by a translation certified in a form which the Registrar finds to be satisfactory. 

 

Registration in the Register

5.      A design registered pursuant to a convention application shall be registered in the register which shall cite the date of submission in Israel and the date of submission of the first foreign application of which the convention application is based on. The payment of fees of renewal and the time of effect of the design shall be calculated from the date of submission of the application in Israel.

 

Effect

6.      The design Rules shall apply on the convention application, where no other provisions are provided.

 

Extension fee

7.      2.50 Lirot for each month, or part thereof, shall be paid for an extension of submission of priority documents.
