Details Details Year of Version 2022 Dates Amended up to: April 1, 2022 Entry into force: February 15, 1999 Assented: January 26, 1999 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This Revised Edition 2020 of the Layout-Design of Integrated Circuits Act 1999 takes into account amendments up to the "Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Act 2021) (Act No. 25 of 2021)", which entered into force on different dates. Section 149 under Part 14 (Amendments to Other Acts) of the said amending Act No. 25 of 2021 introduced amendments (in force on 01/04/2022) to Sections 14(2), 15(a), 16(1)(a) and 21(1)(a) of this Revised Edition where the word “plaintiff” was deleted wherever it appeared in these provisions and replaced in each case with the word “claimant”.
