Details Details Year of Version 2000 Dates Entry into force: April 1, 2000 Adopted: March 6, 2000 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Trademarks Notes The notification by New Zealand to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'These Regulations, which came into force on 1 April 2000, amended the Trade Marks Regulations 1954. The regulations provide for administrative matters relating to the registration of collective trade marks. Collective trade marks were introduced into the Trade Marks Act 1953 by the Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999.'

Pursuant to sections 82 and 85 of the Trade Marks Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations

Regulations

1 Title

(1) These regulations are the Trade Marks Amendment Regulations 2000.

(2) In these regulations, the Trade Marks Regulations 1954 are called “the principal regulations”.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 April 2000.

Inserted r31A and cross-heading above into principal regulations.

3 Notice of opposition

Inserted words into r36 of principal regulations.
