'This law provides for a ten-years extension of the term of copyright for works published before August 4, 1924 and which had not fallen into the public domain on June 25, 1921.'

PORTANT PROROGATION, EN RAISON
DE LA GUERRE, DE LA DURÉE DES DROITS
DE PROPRIÉTÉ LITTÉRAIRE ET ARTISTIQUE

(Du 25 juin 1921.)(1)

Albert, Roi des Belges,

A tous, présents et à venir, Salut.

Les Chambres ont adopté et Nous sanctionnons ce qui suit :

Article unique. Les droits accordés par la loi du 22 mars 1886 aux héritiers et autres ayants cause des auteurs d'une œuvre littéraire ou artistique sont prorogés d'un temps égal à celui qui se sera écoulé entre le 4 août 1914 et le 4 août 1924, soit d'une période de 10 ans, pour toutes les œuvres publiées avant l'expiration de ce terme et non tombées dans le domaine public à la date de la promulgation de la présente loi.

Promulguons la présente loi, ordonnons qu'elle soit revêtue du sceau de l'État et publiée par le Moniteur.

Donné à Bruxelles, le 25 juin 1921.
