The Ministerial Ordinance provides the values of all fees in reference to plant variety protection.'
It was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA) pursuant to Article 53 of Law No. 9.456 of April 28, 1997 (Plant Variety Protection Law), and Articles 29 and 30 of Decree No. 2.366 of November 5, 1997 (Implementing Regulations of the Plant Variety Protection Law).

The Ministerial Ordinance enters into force on December 4, 1997, the date of its publication in the Official Gazette (see Article 4).

PORTARIA Nº 503, DE 3 DE DEZEMBRO DE 1997

O MINISTRO DE ESTADO DA AGRICULTURA E DO ABASTECIMENTO, no uso da

atribuição que lhe confere o art. 87, parágrafo único, inciso II, da Constituição e tendo em vista

o disposto no art. 53 da Lei nº 9.456, de 25 de abril de 1997, e arts. 29 e 30 do Decreto n° 2.366,

de 5 de novembro de 1997, resolve:

Art. 1º Aprovar a Tabela anexa, fixando os valores dos serviços de que tratam a Lei n° 9.456/97,

e o Decreto nº 2.366/97.

Art. 2º A arrecadação dos valores fixados na forma do artigo anterior se dará através do Fundo

Federal Agropecuário – FFAP, em conformidade com a Lei Delegada n° 8, de 11 de outubro de

1962.

Art. 3º Cabe ao Serviço Nacional de Proteção de Cultivares – SNPC, em articulação com o

Fundo Federal Agropecuário – FFAP:

I - elaborar o Plano Anual de Trabalho, relativo à aplicação dos recursos arrecadados;

II - aplicar o produto da arrecadação dos valores dos serviços de que trata o art. 1º desta Portaria

em conformidade com o estabelecido no parágrafo único do art. 30, do Decreto nº 2.366/97;

III - elaborar relatórios técnicos/financeiros anuais da execução das atividades dos projetos.

Art. 4º Esta Portaria entra em vigor na data de sua publicação.
