The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Paris Act (1971) of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Republic of Zaire deposited, on October 28, 1974, its instrument of accession to the said Convention as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971.
The Government of the Republic of Zaire, indicated, concurrently with depositing its instrument of accession, that for the purposes of Article 25(4) of the Paris Act (1971) of the Convention, the Republic of Zaire wished to continue to belong to Class VI.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 28(2)(c) and (3), the Paris Act (1971) of the said Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Zaire, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on January 31, 1975.
