Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Communication by the Republic of Korea Regarding the New Schedule of Fees of the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC), the Korean Cell Line Research Foundation (KCLRF), and the Korean Culture Center of Microorganisms (KCCM)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on April 9, 2001, of a written communication, dated April 2, 2001, from the Government of the Republic of Korea, regarding the new schedule of fees of the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC), the Korean Cell Line Research Foundation (KCLRF) and the Korean Culture Center of Microorganisms (KCCM), three international depositary authorities under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, as amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 89 of May 21, 1990). The text of that communication is attached.

The fees set forth in the said communication will apply as from the thirtieth day following the date (April 30, 2001) of the publication of the said fees in the April 2001 issue of the WIPO periodical Intellectual property Laws and Treaties, that is, as from May 31, 2001 (see Rule 12.2(c) of the regulations under the Budapest Treaty). The said fees will replace, for the KCTC and the KCCM, the fees published in the June 1990 issue of the WIPO periodical Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle (see Budapest Notification No. 89 of May 21, 1990), and for the KCLRF, the fees published in the July/August 1993 issue of the WIPO periodical Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle (see Budapest Notification No. 114 of June 14, 1993).

COMMUNICATION

Pursuant to Rule 12.2(a) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, the Republic of Korea gives notice of the changes in the amount of fees of the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC), the Korean Cell Line Research Foundation (KCLRF) and the Korean Culture Center of Microorganisms (KCCM) as follows:
