Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Communication by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Regarding Changes in the Schedule of Fees Charged by the National Collections of Industrial, Food and Marine Bacteria (NCIMB)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on March 12, 2009, of the communication of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, dated March 2, 2009, regarding changes in the schedule of fees charged by the National Collections of Industrial, Food and Marine Bacteria (NCIMB), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 24 of February 2, 1982).

According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the fees set forth in the said communication shall take effect on April 18, 2009, that is, on the thirtieth day following the publication of the changes by the International Bureau.

I have the honour to refer to the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, opened for signature at Budapest from 28 April to 31 December 1977 and to the previous communication from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning the change of fees of the National Collections of Industrial, Food and Marine Bacteria Ltd. (NCIMB Ltd.).

And in accordance with Rule 12.2 of the Regulations under the Treaty, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hereby notify you that the prices for services have been requested for amendment as follows:
