The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on December 12, 1982, of the notification of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland stating a change in the fees charged by the National Collection of Industrial Bacteria (NCIB) as an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977. The text of that notification is attached.
The fees set forth in the said notification will apply as from the thirtieth day following the date (January 31, 1985) of the publication of the said fees in the January 1985 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle, that is, as from March 2, 1985 (see Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty), and will replace the fees for the storage of a microorganism, the issuance of a viability statement (where a fee may be charged) and the furnishing, in accordance with Rule 11.2 or Rule 11.3, of a sample, as published in the October 1982 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle (see Budapest Notification No. 29 of September 28, 1982).

NOTIFICATION
The fees payable to the National Collection of Industrial Bacteria (NCIB) as published in the October 1982 issue of Industrial Property are changed as follows:
| - for the storage of a microorganism in accordance with the Treaty: | £200.00 | |
| - for the issuance of a viability statement, where a fee may be charged: | £30.00 | |
| - for the furnishing of a sample in accordance with Rule 11.2 or 11.3: | £18.00 plus the actual cost of carriage |
