The Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office in Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland presents its compliments to Dr. Kamil Idris, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, and has the honor to inform the latter that, till further notice from the Chinese Government, the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks and the Madrid Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, to which the People's Republic of China is a member State, are not applicable to the Macao Special Administrative Region of China.

The Permanent Mission of China avails itself of this opportunity to renew to Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Dr. Kamil Idris, the assurances of its highest consideration.
