The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Hungarian People's Republic, on March 27, 1980, of its instrument of ratification of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) done at Washington on June 19, 1970.
The said instrument contains the following declaration:
"In accordance with Article 64, paragraph 5, of the Patent Cooperation Treaty the Hungarian People's Republic declares that it confirms its reservation made at the time of signature of the Treaty and, consequently, it does not consider itself bound by Article 59 of the Treaty which permits any dispute between contracting States to be brought, by any one of the States concerned, before the International Court of Justice." The said Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the Hungarian People's Republic, three months after the date on which it deposited its instrument of ratification, that is, on June 27, 1980.
