Declarations, Reservations

Signature and ratification of the Stockholm Act (1967) were accompanied by the following declaration: "At the time of the signing of the Stockholm Act of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property; the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics deems it necessary to declare that the provisions of Article 24 of the Convention, providing the contracting parties with the possibility of extending the effects of the Convention to the territories for the external relations of which they are responsible, are antiquated and out of line with the Declaration of the General Assembly of the United Nations on the granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples (Resolution 1514/XV of December 14, 1960)." Stockholm Act (1967): With the declaration provided for in Article 28(2) relating to the International Court of Justice. (see Paris Notification No. 6)
