The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Stockholm Act (1967) of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt deposited, on December 3, 1974, its instrument of accession to the said Convention, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967.
Furthermore, the said instrument of accession contains the following declaration:
"The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt declares that it does not consider itself bound by the provisions of paragraph (1) of Article 28 of the said Convention." (Original).
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the Stockholm Act of the said Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Arab Republic of Egypt, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on March 6, 1975.
